Research is underway worldwide into the impact of increasing and making product storage temperatures more flexible. Smarter temperature settings can reduce energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions, save costs, and offer additional flexibility to the energy grid – a significant advantage in times of grid congestion. The key question is: how far can you go without compromising food safety and product quality? And what does this mean for the refrigeration and freezing chain of the future?
